Jaime and Keira and Trayce
AFTER JAIME did the grocery shopping with David Saturday, he dropped his father at Olivia’s apartment and was invited in to see where she lived.
Please like me, Olivia thought. I’m falling in love and I don’t want to stop.
“This is a cool place, Olivia,” Jaime signed. “I see why Dad likes to visit here. And Keira and I appreciate the time alone, too. You don’t need to feel like you can’t spend time—or the night—with Dad at our place. I’m cool with it.”
Olivia crushed Jaime in a hug.
“Thank you. We won’t interfere with you and Keira,” she said. “It’s okay for us to be here when you and Keira want to be together.” At least until we move in together.
Jaime could clearly read that Olivia had another five months on her lease, so the idea of her living with them wasn’t a big deal. He left his father with Olivia, went home to put away the groceries, and headed out for his date with Keira and Trayce.

“I never even considered bowling!” Trayce said. “It’s kind of fun!”
“Neither of us have ever been bowling,” Keira answered. “It really messes up your manicure, though, doesn’t it?”
“Well, my nails are kind of short from chewing on them,” Trayce sighed. “Maybe we could do each other’s nails after we’re done here.”
«That would be cool,» Jaime said to the two girls. «Maybe you could do mine, too!»
«That sounds like the kind of thing two girls would do with their boyfriend,» Trayce shot back. «Maybe we could do your makeup and dress you up, too!»
«Let’s… like… not take it too far. Okay?» Jaime said to the image of himself in lipstick and a dress that was floating in Trayce’s mind. Keira just started laughing.
“We could get into a lot of trouble together, Trayce,” she said. “I always knew you were a bad influence.”
“Not too bad! Look! Jaime knocked them all down.”
“We have a rule,” Keira said. “Anyone who makes a strike gets a kiss from each of the other two.”
She quickly caught Jaime and gave him a sound kiss. Jaime turned to Trayce and they realized she had not kissed him without Keira at the same time before. He pulled her into his arms and they kissed like lovers, letting himself flow into her and receiving her images of herself and her love. He filtered the surrounding sounds in the alley so they weren’t too overwhelming, but Trayce was still stunned by the ability to see a little inside everyone in the alley.
It only lasted a few moments. Keira nudged Jaime to not take too long and draw attention. A child on a nearby lane pointed at them. Jaime and Trayce pulled away from each other. Trayce instantly blushed and hid her face against Keira’s shoulder.
“Hey! It’s your turn,” Keira said. “Just wobble over there and get your ball. Maybe you’ll get a strike.”
“Oh, Lord! Wobble is right. That was… awesome.”
She did not get a strike, nor did either of the other two for the remainder of the game. Jaime paid for the game and they left to go to Jaime’s house. On the way, they stopped at a drugstore to pick up some nail polish and an emery board.
«I didn’t get to kiss you,» Trayce whispered to Keira as they cuddled in the back seat and Jaime drove.
«We can remedy that,» Keira said.
She pulled Trayce into a warm and passionate kiss, opening herself fully to her girlfriend and drawing Jaime into the experience as well. Jaime had to filter in order to keep his attention on the road.
Trayce felt much of the same openness and expansion with Keira as she had with Jaime, but she could only read her girlfriend and boyfriend.
“Were you preventing us from hearing everyone else?” Trayce asked.
“No. We’re in the car. Between the metal walls and the movement, it filters out most of what would reach us from outside,” Keira said.
“It was nice to be able to focus just on you and Jaime,” Trayce said. “The bowling alley was a little overwhelming.”
“It takes a little practice before you learn to filter out things yourself. Jaime just let it flow. Well, I did, too, but he was the only other person in range,” Keira said.
“I liked it. I mean, I could really feel what I’d been imagining for so long. I could feel the love. I want to do that with Jaime, too. With just the three of us,” Trayce said.
“The TV room at his house is on the lower level and is pretty sheltered from the outside. You are the only one we’ve ever connected with from down there.”
“Good!”

After Jaime’s special meal of breaded porkchops, mashed potatoes, and lima beans, Keira led the way to the TV room. She and Trayce had done each other’s nails while Jaime cooked. He insisted they not try to help him since he had the system for this meal down pat.
In the TV room, Keira and Trayce each took one of Jaime’s hands and began filing his nails and pushing his cuticles back, then rubbing lotion into his hands as they rubbed it into their own. It was a sensuous experience and with the skin-to-skin contact of holding hands, they’d shared with each other mentally.
«You’re so petite,» Keira said.
«Is that good?» Trayce asked, bashfully.
Jaime read that she was very uncertain about her looks and tended to discount what people said about her. Somewhere along the line she’d been called a runt and was made fun of in elementary school for being so tiny. Of course, as an adult, being petite was looked upon as a desirable trait but Trayce still carried the stigma of the elementary school taunts.
«We aren’t in grade school, Trayce. We aren’t making fun of you. You are a beautiful young woman and I’d bet those who made fun of you for being small truly regret it when they see you now,» he said.
«It is silly to carry around that grade school mindset, isn’t it? I just always felt like I was too small to do any of the big kid stuff. I was terrible at sports. I’m still challenged if I enter an adults-only business or try to go to an R-rated movie. Maybe I’ll always see myself as that runt.»
«It won’t be because we ever mention it again. I think you are perfect!» Keira said. She leaned in and kissed Trayce on the lips. It didn’t become passionate, but in that contact, Trayce could see the pure joy her partners had in having her with them. She turned to kiss Jaime in the same way and reveled in his love.
“I think some of my creativity came from being small,” Trayce said aloud while Jaime got the dice game out. “When you don’t have a lot of friends, you sort of make them up. It started with my dolls and stuffed animals and then I started writing down stories about them with dialog that just sort of popped into my head.”
“That would explain why you didn’t identify what was happening,” Keira said. “You know how to play this game?”
“Yeah. When my dad was alive, we played family games. This was a favorite.”
“We have one new rule,” Keira went on to explain. “Five of a kind gets a kiss from the person of your choice. Who’s playing the game, I mean. So, if you get five of a kind, you can choose whether you want to kiss Jaime or me.”
“But I want to kiss you both!”
“Have to roll another five of a kind,” Keira laughed.
«Don’t forget that the same applies to Keira and me. If I roll five of a kind, I have to choose whether I kiss you or Keira.»
“Oh, but you have to kiss Keira! You’re a couple. You can’t choose me!”
«We are a triple. All I have to do is kiss one of my two girlfriends.»
«Okay. I’m ready.»
They began the game and were only five turns in when Trayce rolled five of a kind. She looked back and forth between Jaime and Keira, almost frantically trying to decide which to kiss. Then she threw herself at Jaime and quickly lost herself in his embrace.
«Oh, wow! Oh, God! That was ten times the way it felt when I was home and you were kissing Keira,» Trayce said. «Keira, is it that different for you, too?»
«Oh, yeah! But being here with the two of you, the experience for me was better, too. I could feel your tongues together with mine. And my breasts were…»
«Yeah,» Jaime said. «Before we get carried away, we need to agree on the other rules. I almost lost it there.»
«Rules?» Trayce asked.
«We all agreed earlier that we weren’t all three going to make love tonight—at least not all physically together. I fully plan to make love to Jaime physically, but you’ll be with us in our heads.»
«Yeah. I’m not really ready for the physical part of that yet, but I bet you could get me ready pretty fast.»
«While we’re all together, we should abide by the same rules Keira and I used when we were trying to go slow. Hands stay above the waist and clothes stay on,» Jaime said.
«You were touching my breast! I thought I was remembering you touching Keira!»
«Part of doing this is trying to be aware of what is happening. We don’t want to become so lost in the emotion that we don’t know what we’re doing. It will take a little practice,» Keira said.
«Practice,» Trayce agreed. «Whose turn is it?»
They continued game until Jaime rolled five of a kind. He didn’t hesitate to pull Keira into a kiss, but he held Trayce’s hand during it. They plunged into each other, taking Trayce with them. When they parted, all three were panting.
“Wow!” Trayce said. Jaime and Keira just nodded, still gasping for breath.
It was the second game before Keira rolled a five-of-a-kind and she pulled Trayce to her as Jaime held the two girls in his arms. The combined sensation of the two girls touching each other’s breasts while they kissed was almost more than Jaime could bear.
«Do we need to roll the dice in order to have a kiss like the three of us had in the park?» Trayce asked.
«I don’t think the game is needed,» Keira said. She pulled at Jaime without letting go of Trayce and soon the three were darting in to kiss the lips of both partners and then to touch their tongues. Jaime kept a lid on the input coming from the rest of the community. He could clearly hear the thoughts of people as much as a block away. He let Keira and Trayce sink deeper into the experience while maintaining vigilance over them and still enjoying all the sensations of kissing and caressing the two girls.
«Your hand is in my shirt,» Trayce sighed. «Keira said I’d love it when you slipped inside my clothes. This doesn’t count as taking them off, does it?»
«Not as long as you’re happy with it,» Keira said. She slipped her hand beneath Trayce’s blouse to caress her breasts. Jaime had already pushed Trayce’s bra above her breasts. Trayce had a hand inside each of Jaime and Keira’s shirts. Keira hadn’t bothered with a bra.
«Is it… Is it okay… to come like this?» Trayce asked as an orgasm swept through her body. Too late to ask now.
«As long as we stay above the waist with our touches,» Jaime said. The climax rolled through all three teens and then made a second circuit. When they finally came to their senses enough to break the kiss, they flopped back on the sofa and all three lost conscious thought for a minute.
«We should pull ourselves together and end our date,» Jaime said. «I don’t know if I could stay within the rules if we did that again.»
«I want so much more,» Trayce said. «But I need to absorb what just happened. I was… I was you… and you… and me… all at once.»
«One of the things we have to be careful of is not to lose our individual identity when we are sexually involved like that,» Keira said.
«I’ve heard you say that before, but I didn’t know what it meant,» Trayce said. «I didn’t even care if I never came back to myself. I was in a completely different world. Love… Yes, I love you. But that doesn’t even begin to describe what I felt when we were together. If you could take me home, I’d like to crawl in bed and just be with you in our heads tonight.»
«After what we’ve just been through, that might be all we’re capable of tonight. In the morning, though, we might wake you up by licking your clit. Virtually,» Jaime laughed.
There was a shared orgasm in the morning and a walk in the park Sunday afternoon, but the three teens had their climaxes and didn’t go any further over the weekend.

Emerson and Rose
Monday, Emerson was not in school and Jaime was curious as to why.
Emerson had cut school to prepare for her visit with Dr. Rose. She was out of school again on Tuesday and found herself in the doctor’s office at four-thirty, after pacing in her room all day.
“Hello, Emerson. I’m glad you decided to come in for a visit.”
“Mom says our insurance covers counselling, though she wanted me to stay in-system for it,” Emerson said.
“After the experience you and your friends had a week ago, I would not deny you counselling even if you were completely uninsured. The weekend might have been harder on you than any of the rest of us,” Rose said.
“I guess. Are you reading my thoughts?”
“No. I built effective barriers against inadvertently reading people or being read by them. And much like what Schwartz did in Astoria, I enhanced the psychic dampening characteristics of my office. I want people to feel safe here, even from psychic probing.”
“Whoo! I guess that’s a relief, though I don’t know why. I know Jaime and Keira can read me anytime they want, and I carried on a conversation with Trayce at the ballgame Friday night. I think Keira and Jaime facilitated that, though. I don’t know that I could have that kind of conversation with just Trayce,” Emerson said.
“They have a unique relationship. I can’t answer that question.”
“Well, that’s not really important anyway. I only know Trayce through Jaime and Keira, really. I’m only actually interested in them. I mean, Trayce is a nice girl and I can see what Jaime and Keira see in her. But I’m kind of obsessing over Jaime and Keira. I just don’t see any way it can work out.”
“Why don’t you tell me about what you want to work out?”
“Yeah. Well, it started with Dom and Raquel,” Emerson said.
“Do I know them?”
“Um… No. And it isn’t fair to lay it on them anyway,” Emerson sighed. “It’s me. I was sick of being the mousy chick no one noticed. I want to be free and be a little wild. When I went to Paris for seven months on a study exchange, I decided to try on the persona I really wanted to be. I had enough money to buy clothes and do interesting things. Not drugs or booze. Even Paris has a few laws governing seventeen-year-olds. But I’m really into clothes and being sexy and daring. That’s when I met Dom and Raquel. We just fit together, you know? It seemed so right. We were lovers—all three of us. We talked about a future together and that I’d be back in the spring. But I had to come home for senior year. And as soon as I left, Raquel got pregnant and Dom married her on New Year’s Day. And then I was no longer part of that ménage à trois. I was alone.”
“You miss them, don’t you?”
“Yeah. But I’m too mad at them to miss them much. We were supposed to be all together when I went back to Paris. Now, they’re married and I’m invited to ‘visit this summer.’ But I have this really nice computer lab partner helping me on my project as I helped him on his. And then I found out he had a girlfriend and I thought, how convenient. I could have what I had in Paris, but with two really nice kids here. And then there was Trayce and I kept getting shuffled in and out of the relationship. I mean, I was never really in the relationship. Except in my head. And when Jaime spoke to me in my head the first time, I about shrieked.”
“How did that happen?”
“I invited him and Keira to my house to test our apps and I hugged him. He just said we weren’t going to go there. But, of course, I tried again a week later when they thought they’d been rejected by Trayce. That time we kissed—the three of us together—and I saw something a lot more than that they talked with each other and with me in their heads.”
“What did you see, Emerson?” Rose expected most of the first part of the story, but the idea that Emerson might have seen something different than the rest of them experienced was a curiosity.
“I could see how they were connected,” Emerson said. “Like, how their molecules intertwined with each other. I tried to fit myself into that link, but I couldn’t find the path. Then when we were in Astoria and the four of us did that thing to the bad guys… Shit! That was some strong juju. But I still think I saw something different from what the others saw. I saw where everyone was linked together and I could build bridges between them. Like Jaime and Keira and Trayce had never met physically before and Trayce was being a bitch about it. I saw where they were linked, though, and I sort of reached in and put myself on their bridge to hold them together while Jaime took control and ordered that guy to leave and never come back. And then it was over.”
“Have you had any repeat of this experience?”
“Sort of. I saw them at the basketball game Friday night. They were pretty cute. It was like their first real date. I couldn’t help myself. I sat down and took Jaime’s hand. I was linked in with the three of them again. I could talk to them and answer questions in my head. But I could also see how they were linked together and the bridge I saw in Astoria was still there and getting stronger.”
“That’s an amazing thing, Emerson. Might I suggest it is not the kind of thing you want to tell a lot of people about? It could be that you subconsciously did the same thing with Dom and Raquel. It might not be limited to people who talk in their heads.”
“Wow! Really? Yeah. I see it now. I thought what I saw with Dom and Raq was about how the three of us worked so well and so easily together. It could have been something else. Of course, that would involve another whole level of believing in this whole head talk kind of thing. I still have trouble believing any of it is real. But you’ve given me some interesting things to think about.”
“As you have for me,” Rose said. “Let’s talk about what you want to happen from here on out.”
Rose continued to ask probing questions and Emerson considered the answers carefully, moving closer and closer to what she needed to do.
